PIANO/KEYBOARD
Although our instructors understand the importance of studying classical piano music, they also enjoy teaching their assigned students other musical genres such as pop, jazz, rock! Simply put, our teachers are happy to help you become the pianist you want to be. Our piano faculty will show you the fundamentals of sight reading, technique and theory, but they will also incorporate your favorite songs into your lessons. Our piano teachers are very friendly and enjoy sharing their love of the piano with you!
GUITAR/UKULELE
We are proud to teach the ukulele, classical guitar, acoustic guitar, electric guitar and bass guitar. Our tutors are VERY proficient in jazz, blues, rock and other genres of music played on the guitar! Although we take learning the “language of music” seriously, we also understand that the student must enjoy their lesson and have fun during the learning process. Our instructors are experts at achieving this balance! Beginning students will be introduced to guitar/ukulele basics, such as how to tune their instrument, learn string names, work on chords, simple songs and melodies, along with theory. The advancing student will work on more advanced technical aspects, including riffs and improvisational studies.
DRUMS
Learning to play the drums gives you a lifelong hobby and an outlet for emotion and creative expression. Our drum instructors teach rock, metal, jazz, funk, blues and many other styles, providing an excellent platform for your lifelong enjoyment. Although drum language can be complex, our instructors will challenge any drummer with a wide variety of materials designed to improve your speed, strength, endurance, control and comfort. All drummers may bring in their favorite drum parts to learn in their lessons and theory is encouraged.
BRASSWINDS
We proudly teach the TRUMPET, SAXOPHONE, CLARINET, KEY FLUTE AND THE RECORDER. Our brasswind instructor, a former Army band director, offers extensive experience and education that only almost 30 years in the public educational system can provide. note that it is a proven fact that students involved in band excel faster and further when able to also receive one-on-one instruction. This can help with overall musicianship by improving things like tone, mastery of difficult passages, supplemental repertoire, endurance, range, and many other aspects of playing a brasswind instrument.
VIOLIN
For many, nothing quite compares to the sound of an orchestral string instrument! Achieving that “sound,” however, can be a challenge. That is why our string instructors, most with advanced degrees, will be happy to work with you to help you reach your musical goals. From stressing fundamentals such as proper stance and how to hold the instrument and bow, to helping students prepare for Trinity College London and other examinations, our instructors enjoy teaching students how to read and play all styles of music! Of course, our violin teachers are all super friendly and patient, and love working with children, teens and adults!
VOICE(SINGING)
Who doesn’t like to sing, right? Ah, but are you happy with your voice. Do you believe that you can sound better? If so, we are happy to report that we have wonderful vocal (singing) instructors on staff who can help you meet your personal singing goals! Our voice teachers focus, primarily, on exercises to help our students improve their range, tone, control…but most importantly, on their health! It is simply too easy for an untrained singer to injure themselves due to faulty technique, and that is something that we all want to avoid. So, if you have always wanted to be a better rock, pop, country, jazz, gospel, western classical, carnatic, or hindustani singer, then we have the right voice teachers here for you!
MUSIC THEORY
Music theory is the understanding of written music, and it provides a language for composers and musicians to communicate with each other. Students that understand musical theory can read a page written by a composer hundreds of years ago, and understand what that composer wanted them to play, and how. How amazing is that? Students can also use music theory to understand which notes work well together. An understanding of intervals, scales, and keys will help students see why notes are placed together, or why some keys require sharps and flats.

Trinity School of Music(TSM), previously known as Eardrums, currently teaches over 17,000 private & group lessons a year, with over 30 instructors, and has been in existence since 2007. We offer lessons and instruction in piano, guitar, bass guitar, violin, brasswinds, voice, drum set and Art. Sam opened the school with a few central topics in mind…that the importance of an education in music cannot be overstated, and that our students need practical, professional skills for successful, sustainable music development and learning. With this is mind, TSM exists to provide the finest in private music instruction for students aged 4 to 104. Our goal is to be THE choice for private and group music instruction wherever we may have a presence.
